Representation in the proceedings before the European Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg
Law firm Petrušić specializes in representing a large number of applicants before the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. After a long trial before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, we obtained a revolutionary verdict for the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the case of Kunic et al. AP No. 48955/12, which concerns the violation of Article 6, 1 of the Convention on Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms, in connection with Article 1 of Protocol No. 1 to the same Convention, and related to the problem of non-execution of final court judgments by the ZE-DO canton. In this way, we opened the way not only for applicants from the ZE-DO canton, but also from other cantons and local self-government units, who were faced with the same problem of the impossibility of enforcing their final court judgment within a reasonable time. Related to the same topic, we submitted close to 200 appeals to the BiH Constitutional Court, and obtained one of the largest decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court in similar legal matters in case number 1636/18, with close to 3000 of our applicants. After the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we submitted nearly 300 petitions to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, where the procedure included the printing and packing of nearly 56,000 pages, nearly 300 CDs with documentation, which resulted in sending nearly 120 kg of postal packages, and representing 4000 applicants.
